Everybody Wing Chun Tonight

I know, it’s supposed to be, “Everybody Wang Chung Tonight. An 80’s dance hit by the band with balls enough to put their name in the title of a hit song. Too bad for them, that was about the only one they had.

So what the ‘h’ is Wing Chun?

It’s not so much what it is, but when it is.

Look here. Wing Chun is a street-smart self-defense martial art. There are no pretty, fanciful forms to display like a Peacock in heat.

No exotic moves to dazzle you.

While many martial arts have some wicked moves which could do you serious damage, many aren’t applicable when you get jumped walking down the street.

Wing Chun focuses on the centerline of a person, and gets down to the ‘bidniz’ of protecting yourself up close and personal-like.

But, for me that’s half the issue. It’s, “When is Wing Chun?”

As in, I’ve procrastinated a bit. Granted I’ve set some personal health goals which are the gatekeeper for me to cut loose on Wing Chun training…

And there is a songwriting point to this…

The problem is, I’ve backed off on those goals, therefore backed off my Wing Chun training, and it’s time to get down on them.

So what’s the point?

Hopefully you’ve not been doing what I’ve Wing Chunned when it comes to your Skin in the Game and Solo Exercises in your Tune Boosters.

Interesting thing is, last month we talked about breakdowns, slowdowns, hiccups, and mods.

Over the past month I found a bunch of other tunes I could have used for examples of these, which I’d not even thought of at the time.

What does that say?

Those puppies are out there doing the bidniz of entertaining and songwriting and worthy of implementing.

That said…

If you haven’t downloaded your February TuneBooster, or haven’t a clue on what a breakdown, slowdown, hiccup, or mod is and when they are used, then you might want to sign on for less than your Starbucks, ‘diabetes in a mug’ coffee treat.

TuneBooster is 100% Made in the USA, low cal, and healthy.

Feb’s is a comin’ down real soon to make way for March’s issue.
