Hello Songwriter,
Let me start out by saying, Tunesmith Tips may, or may NOT, be for you. Because honestly? It’s not for everyone. More on that in a second.
If however, you’ve ever written a song and suddenly feel like Kilimanjaro is knee-high, because you wrote the COOLEST song ever…
And the next day you wonder what you were thinking, with the thumb one anxious twitch away from the Bic torching your guitar, and stuffing your songwriting notebook in the burning sound hole of your axe.
Maybe Tunesmith Tips is for you.
Maybe you’re just looking at an honest look at how to nail down the fundamentals in an easy-to-read, fun, laid back kind of atmosphere.
Maybe you’re a seasoned writer looking for new inspiration through techniques you’d forgotten about, because you got in a habit and thought it was a writing style.
Whatever the reason, it boils down to exploring songwriting in simple, layman’s terms.
You prob’ly know folks like Stevie Ray Vaughan or Bruce Springsteen never read a lick of music when playing or writing songs.
There are formal ways of writing out how to half-step jump a song, but you might look at it on paper and scratch your head. If you listen to it? You say, “Oh, that’s what you mean.”
That’s the kind of approach to songwriting you’ll see at Tunesmith Tips. Simple, but not necessarily shallow. Teaching through example.
Let’s not forget when you sign up to TuneBooster, you’ll also get some homework. Sometimes easy, sometimes quite challenging. Much of that depends on the topic and how versed you are in that area.
Before we get into why Tunesmith Tips might not be for you, it’s important to know it costs you nothing to be a part of the free email list. Just pop your email address in the box and press the button. I’m philosophically against sharing anyone’s email. Plus, you’ll get a free sample of TuneBooster in your welcome email. You’ll also get a bonus download on getting more from your song evaluations.

Why wouldn’t Tunesmith Tips be for you?
About the only two reasons I can think of are…
- If you know EVERYTHING about songwriting and have no interest in knowing more. No, that is not a typo. Think about it a second.
- If you really aren’t interested in learning, and just trolling at the surface for “‘at a’boys” to make you feel all soft and gushy inside.
If that’s you? Click the big X up there and we’re good.
If that isn’t you? Then I invite or challenge you, whichever appeals, to sign up to TuneBooster and join a monthly journey in songwriting.
Either way, we’ll go on helping writers be the songwriter they were meant to be.
See you inside,
Brad AKA Capt’n
